O Sonho Impossível

To dream the impossible dream

Sonhar o sonho impossível

To fight the unbeatable foe

Combater o inimigo imbatível

To bear with unbearable sorrow

Suportar com insuportável tristeza

To run where the brave dare not go

Correr para onde os valentes não se atrevem ir     

To right the unrightable wrong

Corrigir o erro incorrigivel

To love pure and chaste from afar

Amar de longe puro e casto

To try when your arms are too weary

Tentar quando os braços estão demasiado cansados

To reach the unreachable star

Alcançar a estrela inalcançável

This is my quest

Esta é minha busca

 To follow that star

Seguir aquela estrela

No matter how hopeless

Não importa se sem esperança

No matter how far

Não importa quão longe

To fight for the right

Lutar pelo correcto

Without question or pause

Sem questionar ou fazer uma pausa

To be willing to march into hell

Estar disposto a marchar para o inferno

For a heavenly cause

Por uma causa celeste

And I know if I'll only be true

E eu sei que só serei verdadeiro

To this glorious quest

Para com esta missão gloriosa

That my heart will lie peaceful and calm

Que  o meu coração permanecerá pacífico e calmo

When I'm laid to my rest

Quando eu for colocado no meu descanso

And the world will be better for this

E o mundo será melhor por isto

That one man scorned and covered with scars

Que um homem desprezado e coberto de cicatrizes

Still strove with his last ounce of courage

Ainda se esforçou com a sua última gota de coragem

To reach the unreachable star.

Para alcançar a estrela inalcançável.
